Frequently Asked Questions
Q:What are some ways to save money on my custom order?
A:There are a couple of ways to save money such as:
*Using clear beading line instead of silver or gold toned wire.
*Using acrylic beads instead of glass or semi-precious stones.
*You can purchase your choice of beads & ship to me.
*Only beading the front half of your necklace instead of stringing the entire length.
(I actually prefer this option as it gives a "floating" effect to a necklace)
Q:How long will it take to complete my custom order(s)?
A:I only keep a small stock of beads at this time, so it really does depend on what process is involved in your custom order(s) such as:
*I already have the jewelry or beads you are looking for
*I am custom ordering beads
*I am waiting for your shipment of beads
*I am disassemblying a piece of your personal jewelry
Overall, I aim to have your order completed within 2-6 weeks after agreeing on a plan, regrettably I cannot place guarantees due to certain circumstances in the past when I haven't received beads, etc. I CAN guarantee that I will always keep communication open with you to let you know of any issues that may arise to delay your order.
Q:How do I know what size bracelet I will need?
A:You can measure your wrist with a standard tape measure. If one isn't available, you can use my printable template as a guide.
Cut out the tool, you can then either use the tape measure itself or a piece of string to take your measurement. Wrap the tape or string around the wearers' wrist at the wrist bone (see illustration) & mark the spot where the two ends meet to obtain an approximate measurement.
After obtaining a basic measurement of the wrist diameter, add 1/4" to 3/4" to that measurement to allow for flexibility. This total measurement should be within the size range of the bracelet. Keep in mind that some bead styles effect fit (large gemstones or other adornments may reduce the room allotted for your wrist). Some styles, depending on the type of clasp, provide extra
space. If you are unsure about your wrist size, please contact me for possible solutions, such as making your bracelet adjustable etc. I'll be happy to help you select a suitable style that meets your needs.
Q:How do I know what length necklace I'm looking for?
A: I have a couple of illustrations that will help you choose the length you are looking for. As stated above, some gemstones and other adornments may effect the fit slightly. The fit isn't effected as much with necklaces so adjustments are easy to make.

Q:Is it safe for my baby to wear jewelry?
A:Any baby jewelry is for decorative purposes only & should never be worn for extended periods of time. Most Hospitals and NICUs will allow the bracelets to be worn on an ankle as the babies are newborns there are very sick & on 24 hour watch.
Hospitals in general should also allow them to be worn on an ankle safely, check with your provider.
I suggest using the sets as props for pictures, especially newborn pictures at the birth. Please exercise caution and always use the bracelets under adult supervision only.
Q:How much will shipping cost?
A:All shipping starts at $2. Discounts are given to VIP customers and on all orders over $50. Please see the Shipping section for more details.
Q:What are my options for shipping gifts?
A:I have simple gift cards, boxes, wrap, & other options available. Please see the Gift section for more details.
Q:Will my personal jewelry be secure when sending it in for repairs or re-creations?
A:I feel I have done my part to make things as secure as possible at every step of the way. As stated elsewhere on the site, I do not work with precious metals or stones. The upmost care is always taken with someones personal jewelry, whether it is being repaired or being taken apart to be re- created.
Please see the Custom Jewelry section for all the steps recommended when sending your jewelry to me.
Q:What happens to any leftover pieces of my personal jewelry when sending
it in to be re-created?
A:There are two options available to you. With the exception of clasps or jump rings, all un-used portions can be shipped back with your finished piece of jewelry.
OR
We can work out an agreement for me to keep the un-used pieces in exchange for giving you a
discount on your custom work.
Please see the section on Custom Work for all the details.
